Funny commercial

This is a possible commercial for the super bowl.  Doritos is having a contest for it.  Enjoy

PS. I'm changing the format to something else soon.  Time to get ready for some fishing and outdoor life.

Who supports who?

New fashion statement for mugshots in Chicago.  Why don't I see any Bush or McCain shirts?  Is that a form of racism?  I only jest... Enjoy

I love...

I love my FAMILY.

I know this isn't the usual thing for me to write about, but for some reason I just want to say it.

First and definitely foremost, I love my wife.  She is wonderful and doesn't realize her strength and joy she gives me.  She is a great mom to our kids.  Thank you.  My kids- you are wonderful.  I love each one of them totally and completely.

I love my brother and sisters.  Those of you who are struggling now, know you are in my prayers and I do love you.  You made my life miserable when I was young but also brought so much joy.  I love the memories.  Lulu, we really should have caught that bluegill.

I am grateful to say that I love my extended family.

Finally, my parents.  Thank you for being incredible examples.  I pray that one day my family can be at least a shadow of what you guys have.  You are great examples of what a patriarch and matriarch should be.  Thank you for leading and saying "do as I do."

I know we all have our faults, but some reason right now I don't see them.  I just see a wonderful (large and crazy) family.  I love you guys.

This might be my only sappy post.  Enjoy it.

The end of a roller coaster season.

Can't say much (actually don't want to dwell on it) about this season.  The Chargers were incredible in a few games and down right horrible in some others.  They were touted as the heirs to the Super Bowl and ended regular season at 8-8 (???).  They started the season as the unluckiest team in the NFL and ended it as possibly the luckiest.

Today was a little tuff.  After going to church we all sat down and enjoyed a little celebration for Hayden's 10th B'day then got into the game.  I really wanted San Diego to win this one... mostly as a gift for Hayden.  I'm used to the let downs.  I've been loving this team during some horrible times (ie. Ryan Leaf) and know it's a pipe dream to see these guys win a Super Bowl.  Don't get me wrong, they totally can do it, but the odds are very long.  Oh well... season is now done.  I'm not disappointed.  It was crazy to watch these guys ride a wave of talent and a little luck at the end.

Well now that My Chargers are out, I'll need to focus more on fishing around here.  Only problems with that is the sun goes down early this far north and almost all lakes are seasonal only.  I've got a couple of rivers to try my hand at, mostly steel heads or salmon (hope my rod can handle it).  I will post some pics soon of some fun little fishing holes I find.  Still lots of places to find.

Finally I'd like to say congrats to my son Hayden.  10 years old and a pistol to boot.  He's a great boy.  I love you little man.

What a freaking awesome game!

I loved watching todays game!  I am grateful for a job that allows me to come home for a moment and enjoy some of the game with my kids.  It was so cool to see the San Diego Super Chargers play a phenomenal game.  Big kudos to the little man- Darren Sproles (AKA: Tank).
